Vehicle Passes

This is a big one.

The road up the mountain is difficult, especially if you are not a confident driver. It’s a 15min drive up a windy, steep and slippery dirt road.

Many vehicles and inexperienced off-road drivers require assistance.

But don’t fear, we get everyone up safely.  

We are encouraging most people to park at the BASE CARPARK as the space on top of the mountain is limited. 

We offer shuttles with all your gear directly to the camp grounds from the BASE CARPARK at the bottom of the mountain. This is free and included with your CAMPING PASS.

Last year we assisted and towed over 100 vehicles to the mountain-top.  This is no longer viable, as Skydance is growing rapidly and it has become a privilege to have your vehicle on the camping grounds.

Please read this next section carefully to help us make for a smooth arrival. 

VEHICLE PASS TIERS

  • NO TOW REQUIRED - VEHICLE PASS

    For confident drivers or returning Skydancers with suitable vehicles (4WD / AWD/ small RWD vans / high-powered sedans with good tyres)

  • TOW REQUIRED AND BOOKED - VEHICLE PASS

    Required for: Any FWD vans / any large vans (over 4m) / all overloaded vehicles / caravans / trailers / motorhomes / low-powered and bald-tyre vehicles / or any car if you are not confident driving up the mountain by yourself.

If a tow is not booked in advance and ends up being required, the price difference between the two ticket tiers + a service fee will be charged to the vehicle driver. We advise you to book the tow if you fit the TOW REQUIRED category to save everyone time and get smoothly up the mountain for a lower fee and in a timely manner.


You can secure your vehicle pass later once your vehicle is confirmed (subject to availability).
